Abstract :
Engineers and technologists are likely to find themselves organized into teams in their workplace. This fact has compelled ABET to require teamwork skills to be learned by engineering and technology students. This paper describes two approaches that engineering and technology faculty can use to deliver team dynamics training in their current curricula. The first method discussed is the stand-alone course. The second is the integrated approach. The design, facilitation, and assessment of both are thoroughly discussed. Compelling reasons are explained for the stand-alone course being categorized as a social science selective.
