Abstract
A dielectric-loaded magneto-electric dipole composed of two shorted-circuited rectangular patches and a Gamma-shaped probe feed operated at 2.5 GHz is presented. The middle portion of the antenna are filled with dielectric substrate, epsivr=2.65. The height of the antenna is only 18 mm. A wide impedance bandwidth of 48.7% (SWRles2) is achieved. The gain of the proposed antenna is stable with frequency. The average gain is about 8.1 dBi.
