Abstract :
DNA computing is an emerging research area that needs software simulators in order to avoid working with DNA in-vitro. The purpose of this paper is to present a computer program which simulates a denaturation process of DNA molecules. This simulation represents a useful tool for a virtual laboratory which is oriented to DNA computations. The method used is based on the entropy and enthalpy of the nitrogenous bases like a way to determinate the suitable fusion temperatures of the molecules. The results given by the software can show the behaviour of a DNA strand under certain physical conditions which allow us to compare the resistance of DNA molecules when a denaturation process occurs.
