Abstract
The paper describes a case-based planning (CBP) system. The memory basically consists of a collection of structures of created plans. A structure captures a class of plans in a hierarchical fashion. In contrast with the existing CBP systems, the retrieving, modification, and storing mechanisms are distributed over plan operators. A new plan is generated by unfolding a suitable structure by performing stepwise retrieving, modification, and storing operations on it. The system learns plans from experience and has been implemented in the domain of cooking vegetables
