  • Abstract
This paper deals with a new digital instrument that can measure a kind of impulse resistance, which is the one when a thunder current passes through the earth body, it would meet with. In this instrument, we take a small input impulse current as the test current. Then with a new math method, we can get the responses to a large thunder current, so that the impulse resistance value can be worked out. A compensation method, which can reduce the measurement error, is presented in the paper also. At the end, a measurement result is given, from which one can see what we have done are correct.
