Abstract
This paper illustrates the application of the alternating direction implicit (ADI) pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD) simulator to full-wave analyzing of dielectric resonator antennas (DRA´s). The multi-mode DRA´s have been investigated, and the multidomain strategy is employed to allow for a flexible treatment of internal inhomogeneities. Numerical results demonstrate the unconditional stability and the second-order accuracy for the ADI-PSTD algorithm. For the designed DRA array, simulations are verified by measurements, and reasonable agreement between theory and experiment is obtained. It is shown that this method is highly efficient for the full-wave analysis of DRA´s.
