Abstract
Using two off-the-shelf IGBT converters, bi-directional series resonant converters are configured to achieve high efficiency for the application of super capacitor based energy storages as peak power unit. The proposed control principle and modulation method decouple the sampling and switching frequencies. So the size of resonant circuit is maximally reduced without increasing processing speed of the control system.
