Abstract :
In this paper´s embedded media player, we select Samsung´s ARM9 family S3C2440 as core processor and select K9K8G08U0A a kind of 1GB NandFlash as external memory. In order to play video files smoothly, we choose two chips of SDRAM HY57V561620, and at the same time we expand the SD and USB interface, so we can extend the storage. In the software we transplant the configured and optimized Linux operating system to the S3C2440, then transplant the critical core library SDL_FFMPEG to the S3C2440 after cross-compiled. The whole system realized playing the video and picture files smoothly in the embedded platform.
