Coupled-Line Filter with Folded Corners

Two coupled lines with different spacing can be combined as a new configuration with folded corners. In a two-stage half-wavelength resonators filter, the couplings using this configuration can be controlled to provide the required coupling for the fundamental passband, and a transmission zero at the second spurious harmonic frequency. This configuration is then further extended as a four-stage cross-coupled resonator filter.
