Abstract
Technology to build WEB GIS has variety, but most of them are based on a common GIS platform, the architecture complex and can not be a good achievement for the power industry needs. In this paper, a new method to build Web GIS, which is based on Oracle MapViewer, is discussed. Oracle MapViewer- based Web GIS, which has simple structure, uses Oracle Spatial to manage spatial data, and provides JavaScript API to control map rendering. It has guiding significance for the design and realization of light weight power WEB GIS.
