Abstract
The propagation of angular symmetrical TE mode in an infinitely long perfectly conducting circular waveguide, loaded with cylindrically stratified isotropic dielectric and latching ferrite, magnetised azimuthally to remanence, is studied theoretically. The transcendental characteristic equations of two remanent phaser configurations, valid for arbitrary range of remanent magnetization and permittivity of dielectric filling are derived in terms of Kummer and Tricomi confluent hypergeometric functions of pure imaginary argument, Bessel and Neumann functions. A tabulation of zeros of Kummer function is performed, useful for numerical computations. The nonreciprocal phase characteristics of a cylindrical guide, completely filled with azimuthally magnetised remanent ferrite and propagating TE mode are presented in normalized form for the two latched states of magnetization.
