Abstract :
A navel rectangular waveguide to microstripline multi-aperture directional coupler has been developed for operation in X-band. The results of investigations on coupling through large apertures used as elements of a multi-aperture coupler and the design of a waveguide to microstripline directional coupler are presented. The directivity of the coupler is better than 30 dB in 1GHz band width. This coupler has opened a new vista in the integration of waveguide and Microwave integrated circuits. This type of coupler is useful where small size, flat coupling, high directivity and capability to carry high mainline power are required.
