Abstract :
In this paper, we theoretically investigate the THz detection in nonresonant Fresnel phase matching GaAs crystal. According to calculation, the method will contribute to increase the conversion efficiency and tunability of the THz detection. And compared with the traditional QPM (quasi-phase-match) condition, the difficult processing of the multiple-bonded, orientation-patterned GaAs plates can be ignored. All of these give a possible option to achieve sensitive, broad tunable, low-repetition Terahertz detection.
