Abstract :
We explore degrees of freedom (DoF) characterizations of partially connected wireless networks, especially cellular networks, with no channel state information at the transmitters (no CSIT), and show that the problem is intimately connected to the index coding problem typically considered in network coding literature, albeit with significant additional constraints imposed by the wireless setting. In other words, the degrees of freedom of cellular networks with no CSIT, is a wireless index coding problem.
