Abstract
A minified UHF Tag antenna with two meander dipoles and a match network is proposed and simulated. The antenna is printed with thin copper on a polyimide substrate of 50 um thickness. The dimensions of the antenna are 65 mm in width and 48 mm in length. The simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth is 66 MHz and the radiation efficiency within the bandwidth is over 80%, and the antenna directivity is higher than 2 dBi in the band of interest. To verify the S- parameter given by the EM simulator, the impedance of the antenna is used to calculate the actual S-parameter directly. And the comparison shows that the simulating result is quite reliable. A method of measurement is also proposed in this article.
