Abstract :
Mobile ad hoc networks are self configuring networks where end-to-end connectivity is achieved by utilizing node itself as mobile router. In this paper we present a new approach to investigating the impact of node mobility on network performance based on the analysis of the Brownian motion mobility model. Paper shows how to evaluate the expected path availability where position of nodes changes over time. Simulation shows that our analysis is valid and can be used for guiding the protocol design.
