Abstract :
The present study intends to show the feasibility of a SSB-AM microwave link. A laboratory model of a transmitter-receiver working in the 3,8 - 4,2 GHz band was constructed and allows 5400 voice-channels to be transmitted for a 29 MHz-bandwidth channel. Subsets linearity and propagation selective fading problems were more specifically investigated.
