Abstract

The storage of large valley DEM data and the quick extraction of terrain structure lines becomes very important in river valley. A method of blocked storage and blocked reading of large valley DEM data is proposed. At the same time, the storage method, the quick extraction of terrain lines as well as the composition of large valley DEM data is discussed emphatically. Based on the above idea, the method of how to handle isolate points is put forward and the quick extraction of terrain structure lines of large valley DEM data is realized.
