Abstract :
A theoretical investigation is presented of a circular waveguide, filled completely by azimuthally magnetised remanent ferrite under angular symmetric TE mode excitation. The analysis is extended to a more complex structure of a circular guide with coaxially positioned ferrite rod, magnetised azimuthally to remanence, surrounded by isotropic dielectric. The propagation problem is integrated in terms of Kummer confluent hypergeometric functions of pure imaginary argument. A tabulation of zeros of this higher transcendental function is performed, useful for numerical computations of eigenvalue spectrum of the structures considered. The nonreciprocal phase characteristics of both phaser structures under angular symmetric TE mode excitation are presented in normalized form for the two latched states of remanent magnetizationo.
