Abstract
This paper describes a pointing control of a mobile antenna mounted on a vehicle. For the precise pointing, the antenna must be controlled to point to a target under the influence of continuous disturbances acting on the vehicle. To the problem, we propose an optimal controller design method in a framework of the Hinfin gain-scheduled controller synthesis. By the synthesis, the optimal controller becomes to include the parameter varying notch filter, which is effective to attenuate the various frequency disturbances. We apply the design method to a numerical model of an automobile having rotating antenna. Finally, the results are confirmed by the experiment
