Abstract
Physical Cell Identity (PCI) assignments and conflicts are still posing huge challenges in the LTE-femtocell based network. This challenges stem from the problem of only 504 unique PCls are available in the LTE network. In this work we propose an approach to solve this problem with minimum needs of human intervention, besides preserving the network resources by discarding the need of periodically updating the network neighbor list and also discarding the need to resolve searching conflict and healing.
