Abstract
The concept of virtual auxiliary termination presented in 2006 APMC is further verified by an experiment of a three-port circulator to illustrate the remedy on solving its three-port scattering parameters from two-port measurements. In the results of first step, the reconstructed scattering parameters show apparent inaccuracy at certain frequency points. An indicator of accuracy is then studied. For those frequency points suffering from numerical difficulty, a remedy is formulated using Newton´s method. The final results show good agreement with those of the benchmark.
