Abstract
This paper is a preliminary exploration on the long-term transient modeling for nuclear steam generator. The model transient response occurs monthly in a pressurized water reactor-type nuclear power plant. By integrating the Strohmayer´s U-tube SG (UTSG) model and its disturbances models which include the UTSG exit steam flow rate, the UTSG inlet temperature and the feed-water temperature, the modeling performance and the effects on the simulated UTSG outputs, the UTSG steam pressure and the UTSG outlet temperature, are investigated and compared to the real plant data in this paper. The proposed test bed, if simulated consistently with the real plant dynamical behavior, can be established for the purpose of demonstrating the developed algorithm of advance control or fault detection and fault diagnosis (FDD).
