The Evolution of Firms´ Capability Based on Vision

The past research about evolution mechanisms of firms´ capability focuses on the routines perspective and the cognitive perspective. But in the capability evolution process, both perspectives are difficult to get rid of the firms´ passive adaptation to the external environment and the rigidity of the adaptive behaviors. This paper presents a new view, that is, the evolution mechanism based on vision. Firstly, this view can integrate the routines perspective and the cognitive perspective. Secondly, it can overcome the firms´ passive adaptation to the external environment and the rigidity of the adaptive behaviors. Above all, this new view can provide a direction for the capability evolution.
