Abstract :
In RTS games the whole map information has been stored in the player client, which induces the information exposure problem. This paper proposes an information loading algorithm based on awareness model to solve this problem. In the algorithm the preloading mechanism is adopted, only the location information in the map of the player who is in the local player´s awareness region and predictive awareness region is loaded. It can reduce the information in the client and the predictive mechanism can provide adequate games state information for player´s gaming. The experiment results show that the algorithm can guarantee player´s gaming rights and interests, and reduce the information exposure rate in the cost of lesser information transmission delay.
