  • Abstract
The gas pendulum tilt sensor with the three wires structure was described. Using the finite element method, according to the actual size, building an entity model, the finite element simulation was conducted by a series of procedures, such as meshing, applying loads and solving. Then the temperature field and flow field with the three wires and two wires structure in the sensitive element were obtained by the different tilt states. The results are as follow: In tilt status, the airflow rate difference with the three wires structure is nearly to five times bigger than two wires structure in the two heat sources. Three wires structure makes heating wire separated from detection wire, and solves the contradiction between operating current and output sensitivity, then decreases the operating current. The test results show that the compare between three wires structure and two wires structure for the gas pendulum tilt sensor is that the sensitivity increases from 10mV/° to 18mV/° and the response time decreases from 100ms to 40ms, then the operating current decreases from 80mA to 40mA. Therefore, three wires structure is better than the two wires structure.
