Abstract
Presents a new method for obtaining blood pressure readings noninvasively with telemedicine application. Through the pulse transit time technique, the systolic, diastolic, and mean blood pressures can be predicted using the time interval between the electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG). The data can then be relayed to the Internet for analysis and viewing. The wireless application protocol (WAP) is used for displaying the information on portable wireless devices. The subjects´ cardiovascular condition can thus be obtained for monitoring or pre-diagnosis purposes.
