  • Abstract
    New designs of non-contacting millimeter waveguide backshorts have been developed to avoid both the wear characteristic of contacting shorts and excessive loss due to the second harmonic passband of non-contacting ¿/4-shorts. The new backshorts have been experimentally tested at 100 and 200 GHz. Results are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions.
