Abstract :
This paper describes the laboratory-based remote control system utilizing the Internet environment, which can be used at some specified fields. It is developed to prepare a platform for the experimental evaluation of many types of AUVs control algorithms for the autonomous or semi-autonomous approaches. As a preliminary study, using the remote control system, we have performed the tracking control experiment of a nonholonomic RC toy car, which has many unideal mechanical characteristics. Some experiment results are shown and discussed
