Abstract :
In this paper, we present an alternative approach to realizing SWCNT electronic applications that circumvents the two problems cited above. Our solution is to use random networks of SWCNTs. Devices fabricated from such networks circumvent the requirement of position and structural control because the device properties are determined by the averaged properties of the individual SWCNTs. We describe electronic devices and chemical and biological sensors that use random networks of SWCNTs as the active electronic material.
