Abstract :
This paper presents a framework to perform a sensitivity analysis of torsional modes stability. The framework provides visual means to inspect the sensitivity of torsional modes stability to the variation in the turbine generator output and compensation levels, in different network configuration. This analysis indicates safe operating ranges of the turbine generator for studied compensation levels in various network configurations for each torsional mode and can be helpful in deciding suitable protection or mitigation measures.
