Abstract
At first this paper analyzes the current shortcomings of knowledge visualization. Then we propose a new method based semantic distance according to the user´s interest and different importance of the concepts in a knowledge map. Thus the user´s operation and cognitive labor could be reduced largely through only visualizing the information that user considers more important. As a result, this method is more efficient for user to explore the information and comprehend the knowledge implied in knowledge map.
