Abstract :
As power system analysis relies more and more on digital measurement systems, the need of having the correct data stream has become very crucial. Without the insight on the quality of the data, it is very difficult to use the data in different applications -as one might infer wrong information out of the data. A tool has been developed in Alliander with the goal to assert that all links of the data chain are aligned properly using initial data of new data points. With this tool, early detected errors can be resolved at relatively low costs. This tool assesses the data points against electrical engineering formulas, such as the Kirchhoff´s Law, to determine the plausibility of the data and the possible source(s) of the errors. The tool has been implemented in Alliander to commission more than 20 new measurement systems.
