Abstract
Summary form only given. The frequency-domain analysis of translation with constant velocity and acceleration, i.e. translations quadratically depending on time, has been performed. The problem has been studied under the typical assumptions of a constant luminance/illuminance situation and uniform background (or background moving with the same type of motion of the scene objects), a situation encountered, for instance, when a single object moves with piecewise constant velocity on a uniform background (of infinite extent). The results can provide insight into the frequency-domain effects of motion
