Abstract
The propagation characteristics of open corrugated waveguide are studied. The analysis includes space-harmonics. Experimental verification using a resonant cavity has confirmed that space-harmonics are necessary in order to obtain good agreement between measurement and theory. A parametric study of the fundamental hybrid mode shows that the depth of the corrugations is the main geometric factor influencing the propagation characteristics.
