Abstract :
A hardware implementation of an RNS (residue number system) to binary decoder using a new technique called the core-function approach is presented. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the core-function approach two previously proposed methods, a fractional approach, and an approach based on the base extension, were compared. The results are tabulated in terms of the number of computational elements, the conversion time, and the accuracy required for the three methods
