Abstract :
In this paper, a compact filter with high performance was fabricated utilizing the multilayered low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) process. This filter was designed based on studies of characteristics of multilayered (ML) left-handed (LH) transmission line (TL). Through adjusting different architecture parameters such as the width, the length and the distance in the structure, the centre frequency and bandwidth could be increased, undesired resonance could be eliminated and performance could be improved efficiently. With the LTCC technology, this filter can be possibly made with particular small dimension of 5.1 mm* 3.8 mm. Measured results demonstrated that high frequency (about 10 GHz), 1.3 dB in-band loss, -40 dB transmission coefficients at 8 GHz, and 1 GHz bandwidth could be attained.
