Abstract
The analysis of a direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS) communication system in a mobile radio environment using measurement-based channel models is considered. Exact upper and lower bounds are determined on the probability of error in Rayleigh and Rician fading channels. The performance is compared to that of systems utilizing a RAKE receiver
