Abstract
This paper investigates the load data needed for distribution operation and control studies. It points out that many of the analyses performed depend critically on the availability and the accuracy of the load data. The paper gives a brief overview of the currently available load estimation methods. It points out that many of the methods can be improved by using the emerging statistical analysis methods.
