Abstract :
The technological advances are forcing utilities towards better monitoring, control and analysis of unbalanced distribution systems. As a result, development of real time applications dedicated to unbalanced distribution systems is gaining increasing attention. In this paper, a robust state estimation for three phase unbalanced distribution system is presented. Detailed 3-phase modeling of network and measurements are provided as well as their CIM utilization. A full set of DSE functionalities, including observability analysis, estimation solution and bad data detection, are introduced. The developed tool can estimate system states for unbalanced distribution networks efficiently. The uses of IEC CIM format make it convenient for collecting data from different sources and exchanging analysis results.
