Abstract
In this paper, we present an algorithm to estimate the direction of arrival (DOA) of a speaker using two microphones which may be used for tracking initiation. This algorithm is performed by minimizing a cost function that alters based on the frequency-domain array data method. We derive the guarantee-band and the required threshold to update the current cost function during the adaptation process which is monotonically decreasing. Simulation results show that the algorithm converges to the correct DOA compared to that of a conventional algorithm and track the target directions.
