Abstract :
It is necessary to track the maximum power point of the photovoltaic array rapidly and accurately. On the basis of the output characteristics of photovoltaic array, the principle of incremental conductance and perturb-and-observation algorithms to implement maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in photovoltaic system is further analyzed. This article describes the software flow chart of the two methods and compares them on the advantages and disadvantages in detail. Improved method is proposed and the range of application is introduced. It plays an important role in improving the overall efficiency as photovoltaic system for the further research.
