Abstract
This paper presents an application of the adaptive fuzzy inference system to an induction motor speed control system based on direct torque control. For practical implementation of the control strategy the triangular fuzzy membership functions were adopted instead of the Gaussian´s one in the fuzzy system. The control law and adaptation law were derived by the system stability analysis, which ensures the whole system´s closed loop stability. The numerical simulation results show that the proposed controller gives good command tracing performance as well as good resistance to load variations.
