Abstract :
Schema analysis is a very important issue in the integration of pre-existing heterogeneous databases. Some of the most serious problems to be dealt with during schema analysis come from semantic incompleteness and semantic inconsistency in the schemas to be merged. In this paper, we present a strategy for schema analysis based on a knowledge-based tools and methodologies. Case-based reasoning techniques are being explored to semi-automate the process of discovering structural and semantic relatedness of components from disparate information sources
