Abstract
A fuzzy approach is used in a single-axis magnetic suspension system. The dynamic model and electric model are derived, and they are highly nonlinear and naturally unstable. With a linear control approach, it is difficult to get good performance in a large region. The fuzzy control method can meet the requirement of starting performance and stability of the single-axis magnetic suspension system with large controlled region. It has been tested with an experimental apparatus that this method can quicken the response speed of the system, and can improve the abilities of anti-disturbance, rigidity and robustness.
