Abstract
Future growth in the oil industry will depend on learning from past experience and developing new ways of thinking and doing business. Statoil believes in involving the various parts and levels of the organization to master experience transfer. A method, named ERGODESIGN, has been developed to manage experience transfer in projects were multiple oil and engineering companies participate. The aim is to ensure that experience with technical equipment and design solutions is brought forward and employed in new platform design. A summary of ERGODESIGN´s steps is presented by relating them to a specific case
