Abstract
We have built a small expert system-like reasoner whose domain is the choosing of stochastic parameters for simulation studies. Our interests lie in the questions asked, the responses given, and the reasoning that then occurs. The reasoning deals with a fuzzy domain, and fuzzy or incomplete answers. Although originally conceived as a tool to assist practitioners, it could also serve as the kernel for a tutor that teaches students how to choose these stochastic parameters appropriately
