Abstract
Taking into account the analysis of discretization methods for common differential equations, the paper proves the doubts concerning their suitability for the radical solution to the problem of electric power systems (EPS) modeling. This involves continuous and methodically accurate reproduction of the whole range of EPS modes and processes within real time and at the unlimited interval. The modern concept of EPS hybrid modeling and means of its implementation are suggested in this paper.
