Abstract :
Half dippening 3-phase MHD - pump serves as a liquid zinc swapper from induction furnace to mixer. Using this device one can obtain sufficient increase of ecological compatibility and to secure working personnel from harmful influence of high temperature and zinc evaporations. For successful research of pump characteristics the method of detailed electric, magnetic and heat equivalent circuits is used. In this paper one can see the researches of the tractive forces depending on the immersing depth of the pump into the liquid metal. This research is very important during the considering of the initial stage of pump functioning when the metal begins to fill the channel.
