Abstract
The work required to customize a general device model to represent a particular device with the adequate precision level is long and time consuming. If a black-box device model, such as the GTO macromodel is used, only the externally observed device behavior, presented in the manufacturer´s data sheet is necessary; the calculations required are long, but they can be set up in a well defined, step by step nonrecursive process that can be automated, transferring the tedious task to a CAD program, such as the one presented in this work
